I learned how to belly dance from the time I could walk, and I dreamt of sharing it with the world...until a bullet stopped me in my tracks. My recovery was grueling, and it was belly dance—with significant accommodations—that helped me get back on my feet again. Now I share our cultural practice as both a skillful dance, and as a way for us to rebuild passion, resilience, and community...no matter what we've survived.
